We can accommodate the vast majority of instruments, but if you are playing anything unusual please let us know before your session (especially if it is very large!!). We can arrange location recording if necessary.
If you’re getting a session player in make sure they know exactly what they will be doing – remember some people are fine improvising but others may turn up expecting sheet music. It’s a good idea to check the key is suitable for their particular instrument, if not there are ways around this, so let us know.
As with any other instrument you need to check you have all you need with you – sheet music, reeds, oil, resin, mutes, stools, leads, stands, disks, cards.
Recording practices will obviously vary greatly depending on the type of instrument and the desired sound, but read the ‘recording your part’ section for some general tips.
