Directions to The Upper Hattons Media Centre & Mad Hat's Studio
1.M6 NORTHBOUND ( from Birmingham / Walsall and the South )
Take the M6 Motorway Northbound to Junction 10A and join the M54
Turn off at M54 Motorway Junction 2
Take the A449 Stafford Road towards Wolverhampton city centre.
After two sets of traffic lights you will arrive at:
Traffic island by BSL & small row of shops. Take the third exit towards Pendeford - Wobaston Road.
A few hundred yards along the road is a small island. Go straight over.
Go through the traffic lights at Pendeford Business Park.
200yards /metres take the first right turning (signposted Coven) into Pendeford Hall Lane.
Go past the residential caravan park (100metres on your left). Take the second left (another 300metres) turning (also called Pendeford Hall Lane) this is signposted to Gunston & Chillington.
A few hundred yards along the lane is a hump-backed bridge that goes over the canal.
50 yards after going over this bridge there is a rough driveway on the right with a rough signpost saying “The Upper Hattons”. Turn up that driveway.
NOTE: DO NOT TURN RIGHT BEFORE HUMP BACK BRIDGE GO OVER IT!!
At the top of the driveway (don’t veer off to the right) there will be two buildings directly in front of you. Veer to the left and pull into the courtyard between the two buildings. Our building is then on your left hand side.
2.M6 SOUTHBOUND ( from Stafford / Stoke and the North )
Take M6 South bound to junction 12 – signposted A5 Cannock & Telford
Turn right heading towards Telford (A5) watch the speed cameras
At the next island (1 mile) turn left onto the A449 – signposted Wolverhampton.
Go straight on over the two small islands – still heading towards Wolverhampton on the A449 to the M54 island.
Straight on under the M54 island towards Wolverhampton.
After two sets of traffic lights you will arrive at:
Traffic island by BSL & small row of shops. Take the third exit towards Pendeford - Wobaston Road.
Then follow directions in bold above.
3.From WOLVERHAMPTON
From the Wolverhampton Ring Road follow the signs around towards Cannock and Stafford
Take signs for the A449 Stafford Street towards M54 Motorway / M6 North
After the traffic lights past the Cannock Road you will come to and island by Focus Do-It-All – turn right at this island along the A449 Stafford Road under two railway bridges.
Stay on the A449 over 4 islands. At the 5th island, after about 2 miles, you will arrive at:
Traffic island by BSL & small row of shops. Take the first exit towards Pendeford - Wobaston Road.
Then Follow directions in bold as above
4.From CANNOCK
Head towards junction 11 on M6 (A460)
At Motorway Island take 3rd exit A460 towards Wolverhampton
Keep on this road until you reach the M54 Junction 1 approx 2 miles
Turn Right onto the M54 and stay in left hand lane and exit at Junction 2 (1/2 mile)
At the next island turn left onto the A449 – signposted Wolverhampton.
Go straight on over the two small islands – still heading towards Wolverhampton on the A449 to the M54 island.
Straight on over the M54 island towards Wolverhampton.
After two sets of traffic lights you will arrive at:
Traffic island by BSL & small row of shops. Take the third exit towards Pendeford - Wobaston Road.
Then follow directions in bold above.
5.From TELFORD & SHREWSBURY
Take M54 Southbound heading towards Birmingham
Get off at J2 A449 Wolverhampton
Turn Right and head towards Wolverhampton
After two sets of traffic lights you will arrive at:
Traffic island by BSL & small row of shops. Take the third exit towards Pendeford - Wobaston Road.
Then follow directions in bold above.
6.From Codsall/Perton
From Codsall centre head towards Bilbrook and Wolverhampton along Wolverhampton Road. Turn Left at Traffic Lights (towards Codsall High School)
At Bottom of Lane a small roundabout go straight over (heading towards Brewood, Watery Lane). Take first Right after about half a mile and turn into Pendeford Hall Lane. Drive down here for about a mile and you will come to some white cottages on the right hand side. 50 Yards after these cottages there is a driveway on the left with an old sign saying The Upper Hattons. Drive up there. At the top of the driveway (don’t veer off to the right) there will be two buildings directly in front of you. Veer to the left and pull into the courtyard between the two buildings. Our reception is then on your left hand side.
NB if by coming this way you go over a hump back bridge you have passed the entrance. By 50 yards!!!
