The Blue Room's main function is as a digital mastering and editing facility.  These facilities are based around our hi-performance Pentium IV D940 PC (dual 3.2 GHz processor).  Utilising Sony Soundforge v8, transfers can be made digitally from CD, DAT, Minidisc and Betamax so there is no quality loss. We are capable of mastering recordings (not only those done at Mad Hat) and producing PQ encoded Audio CDRs which can then be used in the final manufacturing stages. We are also able to produce one off CDRs. We can also organise runs of pretty much any quantity of CDs from 100 to 10,000 please ask for details.

Addtionally the Blue Room is equipped with a Digidesign Digi 002 Rack unit.  Combined with Pro Tools LE 7.1 expanded Music Production version, this enables up to 48 tracks of playback.  This software is primarily used as a drum editing facility, with fully functional Beat Detective and Sound Replacer.  However it can also be used for virtual mixes if required.  Network connection to the mac in the control room enables quick and easy transfers between Logic and Pro Tools.
